POT Assignment for Lesson 9.3: LCD Projector and Digital Camera
1 Define LCD Projector?
An LCD projector is a type of video projector used to display videos, images, or computer data on a screen or flat surface. It's a more advanced and effective teaching aid compared to slide and overhead projectors. It works by sending light from a lamp through a prism that separates it into three components (red, green, and blue) and projects them onto the screen.
2 State the application of L.C.D. Projector?
An LCD projector connects to a computer, laptop or desktop, allowing the computer's screen to be viewed by the entire class.
LCD projector brings the world to the class. Show multimedia presentations, or downloaded videos, anything that can appear on your computer screen can be projected with an LCD projector
3 Define digital camera and its use?
Digital cameras are electronic devices that capture and record images and videos in a digital format. Instead of using film like traditional cameras, digital cameras store the images on a memory card or internal storage, which can then be transferred to a computer or other digital device.
Digital cameras have become increasingly popular due to their ease of use, ability to instantly review images, and ability to easily share and edit images digitally.
Uses:
They are used for a variety of purposes, including personal use, professional photography, journalism, scientific research, and more.
With digital cameras, users can easily take high-quality photos and videos, adjust settings such as exposure and focus, and store and organize their images and videos digitally. They also offer the ability to edit images using software, and share them quickly and easily through social media or other digital platforms.
4 Brief the care and maintenance of L.C.D Projector and digital camera?
LCD Projector Care & Maintenance:
- Familiarize yourself with the unit before using it for the first time.
- Allow the projector to cool down completely before turning off or unplugging to prolong lamp life.
- Avoid operating the projector in direct sunlight or near a heat source as excessive heat can damage the lamp and shorten its life.
- Change the filter as specified in the user manual and avoid operating the unit without the air filter, which can draw dust into the optics and affect image quality.
- Store the projector in a cool, dry area and use the original box and packing material for safe secure storage when not in use.
- Keep the lens clean with a lens cloth for optimal image quality and ensure the area near the intake fan is clean if the projector is mounted on the ceiling.
Digital Camera Care & Maintenance:
- Avoid dirt and sand as they can penetrate the camera case and cause damage. Gently blow out the particles instead of using canned or pressurized air.
- Keep liquids away from the camera, except for models with a waterproof case.
- Avoid touching the lens and LCD with your fingers as oils from your skin can smudge them and cause permanent damage. Use a microfiber cloth to clean them.
- Do not point the camera's lens directly at the sun for any length of time as it can damage the image sensor or even start a fire inside the camera.
- Use cleaning liquids sparingly and place them on the cloth instead of directly on the camera.
- Vacuum the camera bag regularly to keep it clean and protect the camera from dirt and sand.
- Avoid extreme temperatures and use neck straps and wrist loops to prevent accidental drops.
- Store the camera in a low humidity area and without the battery inserted to reduce the possibility of corrosion.
